Fear Is In The Mind

NOW PLAYABLE IN YOUR BROWSER, WOO! Just click the play button above and watch as the game will load directly in your browser. Check the latest dev log for more details. NOTE: Will not work on mobile and tablets.

Is it really in the mind? This is the question asked as you navigate through a dark and almost confusing, narrative journey. With secrets to uncover and sound design that will put you on edge (or confuse you), this an experience that you'll want to give a go.

The experience contains events that capture the ten most common phobia's in the world. Do you think you can make it through?

Whatever you decide, just remember that Fear Is In the Mind.

If you enjoyed the experience then please feel free to donate to my work as every little piece of support counts. Even just leaving a comment below about how much you enjoyed (or did not enjoy) the experience, is just as good as donating! I actually had a phobia of dogs, especially the tiny ones but that was only triggered when I actually see one up close. at home i have a small dog not afraid of him and well soon I've gotten over the fear but I still occasionally get scared of dogs if they are big or medium-sized

I was trying my best to cover all the phobia's I could, check out my developer commentary here:

Brychestafflux a friend of mine, brought me here, and imma start giving some feedback. So the game good, and I'm sweating so much playing this game. the way I looked from walls, objects, and the lights scared the heck out of me, and the voices from the surrounding. it's a great game thank u for opening my mind. Remind all of you don't be scared. feer is in the mind, it's worth it.

Thanks so much for playing! I’m really glad you enjoyed this experience, there will definitely be more to come so stay tuned! :)

The message you tried to convey through the game was perfectly well received through the game. The sounds, the way everything looked, etc, it all was aimed to make the game scary without actually scaring the viewer. Your philosophy and game was great and well executed!

Thank you so much! You're video was fantastic to watch and you had some really great commentary. Thanks for playing and have a merry christmas and new year! :)

It was a new experiment guys you people have created.

It was kinda cool to add lights to follow in darkness.

There could be narration in between also where players have choice what to do where to go. So players can think in between. The last message was cool you went to philosophy. So like that different fears can be add according to type of people.

Thanks so much for the feedback! Really glad you enjoyed the experience and great video!

Fear may be In The Mind, but Groove Is In The Heart

Wise words. I like your thinking.

(+1)

I really enjoyed this experience! I wish it was longer, but I love the concept. Can't wait to see what you create next, keep at it.

(+1)

Thanks so much for the support! :)

That was totally harmful to my computer! JK JK

I'm serious now, that was pretty neat. I played it a couple times and my take is that it's a different approach to psych horror games. And for me that's a good thing. Keep up the hard work.

Thanks so much! For a moment you did make me go "oh no" with your first line and put fear in my mind, meaning you beat me at my own game, but really glad you enjoyed it! :)

😲

Thanks for playing!:)

(+2)

This game took me by surprise! I was not expecting to play it more than once, but there were some nice little secrets in here that I didn't want to miss! My only suggestion is to maybe add multiple endings, but even as it is, this game is great!

(+2)

Thanks so much for playing! I was going to have alternative endings but due to time constraints I had to cut some corners, but I'll mention more in future blog posts. Thank you so much for playing!

I really love the concept, I like the idea that this is based on the illusion of fear and how it can be tapped into, I also found the easter egg 😄
